Open Letter To Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz

Dear Congresswoman Schultz,

I understand that President Obama has supported Israel by supporting Israel's defense budget over the years in addition to increasing intelligence cooperation and Iron Dome funding along with other important issues. Please note, however, that the support the President is giving our staunchest ally, Israel, in this time of crisis is not only not as solid as many, including myself, expect, but he vacillates, equivocates and subjects Israel to a terrible moral equivalency vis-a-vis Palestinian terror.

In dealing with the Israeli/ Palestinian issue, past presidents, both Republican and Democrat, have shown a definitively clearer picture and been more decisive in the face of Palestinian attacks on Israeli civilians.

Considering the terrorism that Israel is facing on a daily basis, we must let Israel and the rest of the world know that the President of the United States and his Secretary of State will not equivocate in their support for Israel.
The President and the Secretary of State have both said that Israel has a right to defend itself. I believe that Israel has more than a simple right to defend itself from terror. Israel has a right to not be attacked in the first place!

The Palestinians are attacking Jews while Israel is defending itself from those attackers. There is no moral equivalence between the two. None. There is no "cycle of violence" in Israel. This is a lie. When confronted by an assailant with a knife, the assailant may be killed. That holds true whether it happens in UC Merced, Hollywood, FL or Jerusalem, Israel. Period. There should be no equivocation, no moral equivalence and no double standard.

By not showing 100% support for Israel in these circumstances, the US is validating the Palestinians' actions and tactics as legitimate instead of just plain sanctioned murder. It substantiates the Israeli fear that the United States is equating the Palestinians' attacks with Israel's defense.

This must not be allowed to stand.

Congresswoman Schultz, you are more than simply a FL congresswoman and head of the DNC. You are MY representative. As my representative, I formally request that you make my voice heard in Congress and sponsor a joint resolution condemning, unequivocally, unconditionally and with zero moral equivalence, the terror being perpetrated by Palestinians in Israel.

Sincerely,
Jonathan Zucker

Palestinian Incitement

Dear Presidential Candidates,
In times such as these leadership is at a premium. In the absence of leadership chaos will rule.
Jews are being targeted, stabbed, run over by cars and murdered in the streets of Israel. It is not because of settlements. It's not because of roadblocks. It's not because of any changes in Israeli policy on Temple Mount. Jews are being targeted because they are Jews. Period. The Palestinian leadership has been at the forefront of this incitement and antisemitism for years now with the world remaining silent, preferring to work with the devil we know in the hopes of reaching a peace agreement.
This is no time for equivocation. Condemn the Palestinian leadership for their incitement. Condemn the antisemitism that is on the rise in the Middle East, Europe and even here in the United States. This is the time to prove that you are up to the task of being a true leader. The world is watching. Prospective United States voters are watching.
And we're looking for a new leader.
Sincerely,
Jonathan Zucker
